After having a tooth extracted from my upper left gum in 2024, I experienced unexpected and serious complications. The bone in that area began to erode, the gum did not heal properly, and an infection spread into my jaw. The pain was unbearable. When bacteria traveled beneath the caps of three additional teeth, those teeth also had to be removed. After multiple courses of antibiotics, I then developed a troublesome C. diff infection.
It was later suspected that a sinus cavity may have been perforated during one of the extractions, as ongoing problems persisted in both my mouth and nasal cavities. One day, when I bent over to pick something up, the infection erupted like an exploding volcano.
When the pain and infection continued, I reached out to ConnectCare3. Their knowledgeable nurses had supported me with other health issues in the past, guiding me to excellent physicians who helped me achieve positive outcomes. Once again, my ConnectCare3 nurse proved invaluable.
Her expertise and skill in navigating the healthcare system led me to an experienced otolaryngologist who specializes in complex sinus conditions. Within that same month, I underwent surgery. My nurse treated me as if I were a member of her own family—she genuinely cared about my well-being. She helped me prepare questions for my appointments, attended those appointments with me, and provided detailed written summaries afterward. I truly believe she opened doors that allowed me to receive the care I needed—things I could never have accomplished on my own.
If you are facing a difficult diagnosis or a complex medical situation, I strongly encourage you to contact ConnectCare3. Their nurses work hard to connect you with the right specialists at the right time. Thanks to their involvement, I finally received the surgery that resolved a year-long infection. I can now move forward with my life, deeply grateful for the skill, dedication, and compassion shown to me by my ConnectCare3 nurse navigator.
